One person died as a result of an accident that occurred in Butler Township Tuesday afternoon.
The Butler County Coroner has confirmed that an unnamed individual died shortly after being taken to the Butler Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
The crash occurred just before 12:30 p.m. on Delwood Road. Early reports were that a vehicle crashed into a tree and the driver was entrapped and unresponsive. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
The road did need to be closed for over an hour while crews were on the scene but did reopen just after 1:30 p.m.
