The Veterans Day Parade in Butler will be held on Saturday morning.
The event starts at 10:40 a.m. at the intersection of Main and Penn streets and will proceed south on Main Street to Diamond Park. All military veterans are invited to march.
On Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., the 39th annual Veterans Day Luncheon and Awards Presentation will be held at the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora. The 2017 Veteran of the Year Roy Remone will be honored.
Remone joined the Navy in November of 1980 and served on the USS Orion from 81-83. He was awarded the Battle E Ribbon and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
