The Butler Area School District approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Butler Area Support Professional Association at last night’s school board meeting.
The new five-year contract includes 155 individuals working as the district’s secretaries, paraprofessionals, and medical technician employees.
According to Butler Superintendent Dr. Brian White, the new deal includes a 2.5% annual raise as well as an increase in starting rates in an effort to attract prospective employees and fill open positions.
The new agreement has been approved by the members of the union and will take effect on July 1st continuing through June 2027.
