One of the few remaining Jewish survivors of the Holocaust will be in Butler County today speaking to high school students.
Shulamit Bastacky will speak to students in Rob Niederberger’s 8th grade history class this afternoon. The Butler Intermediate High School students will hear Bastacky’s powerful story of survival, as well as what she learned from the experience and her life after the war.
Data estimates that fewer than 100,000 Jewish survivors of the Holocaust are still alive today.
