A team of students from a local high school will be competing in the next round of a robot combat competition later this week.
The National Robotics League Championship is scheduled to begin Friday at 7 p.m. and continue all day Saturday on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania.
One of the 64 teams participating in this completion is made up of students from the Butler Area School District. The team finishing with the highest score will receive the Grand Champion Trophy and a $500 prize. Additional prizes will be given for second and third place as well as in the categories of Best Engineering, Best Documentation, Best Sportsmanship, and Coolest Robot.
