It’s the first day of school for some students in the Butler Area School District.
All elementary students in kindergarten through 5th grade will have a full day of school today.
However, secondary students are beginning the year on a staggered schedule.
8th graders along with high school juniors and seniors will have a half-day of school today. Meanwhile, 6th, 7th, 9th, and 10th graders will have full-day tomorrow.
This also marks the first time in over 100 years that the red brick building on North Street will not have any students inside during the school year.
