The Butler Area School District approved a budget for next school year that does not include a tax increase.
The $102 million budget- which will maintain the current millage rate of 101 mills- was voted on by the school board Monday night. The board voted 8 to 1, with Suzie Bradrick voting no.
Earlier this month, the board anticipated having to raise taxes slightly but officials say a little more federal Title I allocations and better healthcare rates helped them balance the budget.
