The Butler Track & Field teams traveled to Penn State University for the Kevin Dare Invitational on Saturday January 11th. Over 50 schools from Pennsylvania and Maryland attended the meet.
The lead boy athlete was Logan Rogers, who finished 2nd in the mile with a time of 4:31.89 and Ethan Thomas, he placed 4th in the Mile with a time of 4:33.00. ( those two times in the mile place Logan and Ethan 6th and 7th on Butler’s all-time Indoor Track Top 10)…….. Eli Campbell placed 9th in the Triple Jump at 39-5 and Chris Rubsic was 10th.
Leading the way for the Golden Tornado girls was was senior Madi McGarrah. Mcgarrah placed 6th in the 800 in 2:24.47. Her time is now 5th on the Butler All Time Top 10 list. Senior Jocie Slesinski finished 7th in the High Jump with a jump of 4-11.75.
