Many use Thanksgiving as an opportunity to give back- and hundreds in Butler County are doing just that today.
The Butler City Catholic Parishes are expected to serve close to 1,000 Thanksgiving meals to the Butler community today for free.
St. Peter Roman Catholic Church will hold its annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner at their Franklin Street church hall from noon to 1 p.m.
Meals will also be delivered this morning to residents across the county, and takeout orders will be picked up at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish in Butler.
All meals are completely free of charge.
It takes hundreds of volunteers to make this event happen, as well as support from local community business and organizations.
