A Butler County native is among those to be honored by Carlow University tonight.
Marianne Cornetti will be named a Woman of Spirit during an Awards Gala beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Cornetti will receive the International Woman of Spirit award which has only been given once previously in the 13 year history of the awards.
Cornetti is recognized world-wide as one of the leading Verdi mezzo-soprano singers in the world. She is a graduate of South Butler.
