Students at a local school are once again coming together to make the holiday season a bit brighter for troops overseas.
Wednesday afternoon the 911th Security Forces out of Pittsburgh Air Force Base were at Butler Middle School to help fifth and sixth grade students load over 250 packages onto a truck.
All items sent are donated by the students. American Legion Post 117 in Butler donated over $4,000 to cover shipping costs for the packages.
Last year was the first year for the program and sixth graders collected over 150 packages for the troops.
