Butler Memorial Hospital has once again received recognition for care of stroke patients.
According to Independence Health System, the American Heart Association’s Get With the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award signifies that Butler Memorial Hospital provides stroke patients the best treatment aligned with nationally recognized, research based guidelines.
The hospital had to demonstrate commitment to quality care for stroke patients for the over 300 stroke patients treated annually by the facility. This is the 15th consecutive year Butler Memorial Hospital has met these standards.
Butler Memorial Hospital also received the Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award for caring for diabetic patients at higher risk of complications during a stroke.
