A Butler man is behind bars after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife and stating he was “going to kill her and cut her into little pieces.”
Claude Taylor Sr., 60, was arrested by Butler City Police and charged with assault following the alleged attack, which happened late Monday at a home the two share on Virginia Avenue.
According to court documents, Taylor and the victim got into an argument over letting cold air into the home when he began hitting and pushing her. Police allege Taylor then grabbed a kitchen knife and stated he was going to kill the woman.
The woman was able to run away. She did receive treatment at Butler Memorial Hospital for a missing front tooth, and several cuts and bruises.
Taylor remains in the Butler County Prison.
