A local man involved with a suspicious death in the city of Butler last year has now also died.
According to Butler City Police, 35-year-old Raymond Covelli was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (1/29) at his residence on Zeigler Avenue. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say Covelli was treated for a stab wound he received in an incident back in November in the city of Butler where another person died. The investigation into that incident was still ongoing at the time of Covelli’s death, according to city police Chief Bob O’Neill.
Police do not suspect foul play in the death of Covelli and are not treating the death as a homicide. The death was also not related to the injuries Covelli suffered in the November confrontation.
