A Butler man was arrested after he allegedly tried to run over two women with his vehicle.
Butler City Police say 56-year-old Jeffrey Perritt drove his grey Mitsubishi SUV up onto the sidewalk on North Monroe Street on May 25 in an attempt to strike two women.
As Perritt was backing up to leave, police say his vehicle nearly struck another unidentified pedestrian on the other side of the road.
A witness captured photos of the vehicle and one of the victims told police she knew the driver but only by his first name.
Police eventually caught up with Perritt earlier this week. He remains in the Butler County Prison on aggravated assault and other charges.
