A local man is in the Butler County Jail after he allegedly threatened to shoot police officers.
William Shaner, 31, of Butler was arrested Thursday and remains in the prison on $100,000 bond.
According to Butler City Police, a woman walked into the police station Thursday morning and filed a domestic violence complaint against Shaner alleging he struck her, causing injuries. She also alleged he told her if she turned him into police, he would shoot the officers.
City officers- along with deputies from the Butler County Sheriff’s office- were able to take Shaner into custody at his home on Christie Avenue. He has been charged with assault and resisting arrest.
