Butler Area School District is marking Music in Schools Month by taking the first steps toward restarting their elementary music education program.
A significant number of students have expressed interest in learning how to play an instrument, including many who are unable to provide their own instrument.
In an effort to address this need, Butler Area School District is holding a new or gently used instrument drive through March with specific needs for string instruments like violins, brass instruments like trumpets, woodwinds like clarinets, guitars, and keyboards.
Anyone willing or able to donate is asked to bring instruments to any school or administration office with monetary donations also accepted. Donors can receive proof of this tax-deductible donation from the district’s business office.
