Butler Little Theatre looked to the past to come up with shows for their 75th anniversary season which begins tonight.
“We really looked back over all of the seasons and try to find shows that mostly were indicative and showcased Little Theatre productions.”
Katie Moore directs the production beginning this evening of the Noel Coward comedy Blithe Spirit which kicks off an historic season for the local group.
Performances will take place at 8:15 p.m. the next two nights followed by a 2:30 matinee on Sunday and 7:30 p.m. performances Tuesday through Thursday.
Blithe Spirit was staged by Butler Little Theatre in 1989 and the rest of the year also features favorites from the past as recounted by Moore and producer Becky Plymale.
“The next show will be You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, they’ve already held auditions for that. Following that is Crimes of the Heart and Inherit the Wind at the end of the season. We have Blow Your Horn as well.”
Tickets are $12. For more information about this show, the benefits of membership, or the special events planned throughout this special year, visit www.bltgroup.org.
