It’s the first week of classes for the newly renamed Children’s Workshops at the Butler Little Theatre and if you have a young person interested in joining, there still may be some room.
Amy Cannard, with the Butler Little Theatre, told our radio station that the classes are always held during the winter; between January and March. They are held once a week for an hour and a half each.
There are only 15 kids accepted for each class, which is broken into age groups. There will be six weeks of instruction and then 6 weeks of rehearsal for a final program, in which all students will have a role.
There was an open registration held over the weekend, but theatre reps say you can stop by one of the three classes to check on availability.
The workshops previously held a different title; The Butler Little Theatre Children and Young People’s Theatre Program. Again, the new name is The Children’s Workshops.
