The Butler Girl’s Track & Field team won the Pine Richland Invitational on Friday night. The meet was attended by 52 schools. This was the Girl’s fourth invitational victory of the year!
Emily Horstman highlighted the meet by wining the 100 meter dash at 11.96- a meet record and a new Butler school record time. She was also second in the 200 meters and was was part of the second place 400 meter relay team with Maddie Glew, Odile Enslen and Shana Hoy. Taylor Weaver won the pole vault, Maggie Welty was second in the 1600 and Freshman Alexis Hopper was second in the High Jump. Shana Hoy was third in the 200
Fourth Place Finishers were Odile Enslen in the 300 Hurdles, Liz Simms in the 800 meter run, Michaela Brydon in the 3200 meter run, Jena Reinheimer in the Discus, Juliana DiPippa in the Long Jump and the 400 Meter Relay team of Maddie Tonini, Cienna Tonini, Kelyy Kabay and Shana Hoy
Fifth Place Finishers included Jena Reinheimer in the Shot Put and the 3200 Meter Relay of Erin LeMay, Maggie Welty, Emma LeMay, Liz Simms. Jessica Bishop finished seventh in the Pole vault.
On Monday – the girl’s go for the WPIAL Team Championship at Baldwin High School against Hempfield, Mount Lebanon and Seneca Valley. The meet starts at 4 PM.
