The Butler high school girls Track & Field team took fifth overall out of 71 teams at the 49th annual Baldwin Invitational Friday. Grace Nichols led a 1-2 finish in the High Jump for the Golden Tornado with a career-best leap of 5’4″. Jocie Slesinski was the runner-up with a career-best jump of 5’1″. Megan Baggetta took second in the Triple Jump and Aubrey Rock was fourth in the Long Jump.
Orein McBride-Cager led the Butler boys with a third in the High Jump. He cleared a career-best height of 6′ 1″. Markeis Frazier was fourth in the Shot Put. The Butler boys go for a third consecutive WPIAL Team championship Tuesday at West Mifflin.
