A local eye care provider is planning to build a new and larger facility in Butler Township.
The Butler Township Planning Commission has given conditional approval to a land development proposal made by Butler Eye Care. A meeting was held on Tuesday.
Owners plan to construct a two-story, over 7,000-square foot office building at 391 Evans City Road (Rt. 68) near Eberhart Road. Butler Eye Care purchased the currently-vacant one-acre lot next to the former Brusters a couple years ago. The business currently leases space at the corner of Duffy and Evans City roads, but would like to grow in the new space that will have improved flow and design for eye care patients. The building will also have office space for an additional tenant.
This proposal will next move on to a vote at the Jan. 21st Butler Township Commissioners meeting. If given approval there as well as at the zoning hearing board, the project could get underway in April with a completion date anticipated in November.
