Butler Downtown is planning special events, for Valentine’s Day, that will last for the next two weeks.
From Monday, February 1, 2016 through Valentine’s Day, you can take a selfie during the Locals Love You More promotion. Local businesses will have specific posters in which you stand in front of. Take your picture, post them to Facebook, and you could win some prizes. Also during the next two weeks, you’ll have other opportunities to win contests by shopping downtown.
Bob Dandoy, past President of Butler Downtown, says the idea is to get people to shop downtown to find unique items that won’t be found at big box stores and to help support local businesses.
Dandoy says similar events during Christmas were hugely popular.
