More Butler County residents were unemployed in February versus January.
According to the latest numbers from the state Department of Labor and Industry, Butler County had a seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 4.7 percent in February, tying Allegheny County for the lowest in the seven-county Pittsburgh region. Butler’s rate in January was 4.3 percent.
The highest in the region was once again Fayette County at 7.2 percent, up from 6.7 percent in January.
Overall, just 600 workers were added to payrolls last month throughout the region.
