Butler County’s first county-run dog park is officially open for business.
Jade’s Dog Park, which is located inside Alameda Park in Butler Township- to the right of the waterpark- opened on Saturday.
The park has been in the works for years and has primarily been funded by private donations and grants. The facility is broken down into two separate areas for small and large dogs. There is also a shelter, benches and water fountains.
The park is named after a black lab rescue named Jade who is owned by a family who donated a large amount of money for the park and wished to remain anonymous.
