A group of high school students received recognition, and the possibility of scholarship money, through a relatively new program.
The Butler County Youth Leadership Program recently honored its sixth class of local high school students.
The youth leadership program started as a branch-off from Butler County Leadership in 2017. It aims to help build the next generation of local leaders.
Also, students who graduated from the class earn a first-year scholarship to either BC3 or Slippery Rock University. There were also four students who earned the inaugural Green Cabbage Technology Impact Scholarship, which awards $4,500 scholarships for students to attend any higher education institution.
Green Cabbage is a global spend analytics company based out of Cranberry Township.
