Just a couple weeks after raising the Stanley Cup, some Pittsburgh Penguins will be back on the ice this week in Butler County.
The annual Penguins prospect development camp will begin this Wednesday, June 28 and continue through Saturday, July 1 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township. Team A will practice beginning at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday and Team B will take the ice at 3:15 p.m.
In addition to on-ice work, prospects are expected to partake in strength and fitness presentations, participate in team-building exercises, and listen to guest speakers provide tips on becoming a successful professional athlete.
These practices are open to the public and top prospects including Daniel Sprong, Zach Aston-Reese and goalie Filip Gustavsson are expected to attend.
