The Butler County Republican Committee will meet this weekend to participate in the endorsement process.
The endorsement meeting will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Atrium in Prospect.
Candidates competing for the Republican nomination in the upcoming primary for United States Senate, U.S. Congress, Governor, and Lieutenant Governor will either be present or send representatives.
To receive the endorsement of the committee, the candidate must be nominated and seconded. The candidate will then have a chance to speak about why they deserve the endorsement. A candidate who receives 60% of the vote will be endorsed. If no candidate receives 60%, candidates may be considered to be designated as “recommended”.
