Butler County is one of the healthiest in the state according to a recent study.
Butler County is ranked 7th in health outcomes and 8th in health factors out of 67 counties in Pennsylvania. The County Health Rankings are done annually by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
Health Outcomes refers to length and quality of life while Health Factors takes a closer look at clinical care, healthy behaviors, and physical environment as well as a variety of social and economic factors. Over 20 sources are used in order to calculate the rankings.
