A longtime local business has been honored by Butler City government.
Butler Mayor Tom Donaldson proclaimed Monday (5/1) as Butler County Ford Day to recognize the business’ 100th year in operation.
According to Donaldson’s proclamation, the business began as McIntire Motors until Walter Cramer assumed ownership in 1918 and it has been Butler County Ford ever since.
In 1955 Cramer passed primary operating responsibility to his son-in-law Anthony Johns and in 2004 that responsibility passed to Johns’ daughter, Cathy Glasgow.
