Butler County was featured in an episode of the syndicated television series “World’s Greatest!” Monday.
The series, which is in its 9th season, is a half-hour show that visits communities around the country to the the “story behind the story” and showcases the unique aspects that makes a place great.
The show’s 225th episode aired at 6 a.m. Monday and outlined many of the attributes of Butler County, including the birthplace of the Jeep, the history of Saxonburg and John Roebling and the Washington Trail in Evans City.
“‘World’s Greatest!’” is a program known for highlighting unique products, extraordinary people and premiere destinations so it’s thrilling to have Butler County be recognized,” Jack Cohen, Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau President, said in a statement. “We know how special and wonderful Butler County is and now everyone else will, too.”
The episode will air again in two weeks on Monday, March 28 at 6 a.m. on Armstrong Cable Channel 67, DirecTV Channel 305 and Dish Network Channel 250. The episode is also available online at worldsgreatesttelevision.com.
“World’s Greatest!” is a program by How 2 Media, based in DelRay Beach, Florida and a production of 21st Century Production Company. Researchers and producers approached Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau in October 2015 to film a segment on Butler County.
