Update: The race to be the next judge on the Butler County Court of Common Pleas is too close to call.
All four candidates cross-filed as both Democrats and Republicans. The leading candidates on either side from Matthew Fischer, Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale, William Robinson and Nicole Thurner will then face off in November.
As of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, unofficial returns with all 89 precincts reporting, on the Democratic side have William “Wink” Robinson with a six vote lead over Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale.
Unofficial returns on the Republican ballots have William “Wink” Robinson leading by 11 percent (35-24) over Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale.
If Robinson is determined to be the winner on both the Republican and Democratic ballots, he will be the only candidate appearing on the fall general election ballot.

Update: As of 10:15 p.m. unofficial returns with 88 of 89 precincts reporting, on the Democratic side have Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale leading by a half percent (35.5-35) over William “Wink” Robinson.
Unofficial returns on the Republican ballots have William “Wink” Robinson leading by 10 percent (34-24) over Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale.

Update: As of 9:50 p.m. unofficial returns with 55 of 89 precincts reporting, on the Democratic side have William “Wink” Robinson leading by 5 percent (38-33) over Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale.
Early unofficial returns on the Republican ballots have William “Wink” Robinson leading by 12 percent (36-24) over Matt Fischer.
