The first Butler County bridge in a new statewide repair program has been completed.
The West Cruickshank Road bridge over Glade Run in Middlesex Township reopened to traffic earlier today.
The bridge is one of 558 that will be rebuilt over the next three years as part of a Public-Private Partnership. Clearwater Construction completed the work five days ahead of schedule after the bridge had been closed since mid-June.
The original bridge was built in 1929 and carried 1,000 vehicles per day. The new bridge is longer and wider and designed to last 100 years.
