Butler County election workers will begin the recount of the Republican race for Senate Wednesday.
County officials say the recount will start at 9 a.m. in the main Juvenile Courtroom inside the county government center.
Pennsylvania law mandates that any race that is determined by less than one-half percent be recounted. Currently, Dr. Mehmet Oz leads Dave McCormick by less than 1,000 votes.
County officials expect the recount will only take today. The Department of State is requiring all counties to have their recounts completed by June 8th.
