There is still time to apply for a grant from the Butler County Bar Association’s foundation.
The last day for an organization, or non-profit, to be considered for the grant money is Friday, February 26, 2016. That deadline was pushed back from its original date in early February.
This Foundation is the charitable arm of the Butler Bar Association. Sean Gallagher, from Murrin, Taylor, and Gallagher, told WISR’s Dave Malarkey on the radio program It’s Your Turn that the Foundation’s mission is to promote access to justice and promote legal education in Butler county.
The application process focuses on those two points as well as looking at organizations and how they are promoting overall charity within the area.
The application is online at www.butlercountypabar.org. Click on the foundation tab in the menu bar. Needed is information about an organization and the plans of how the money will be spent should it be approved.
The Bar Association represents the butler county lawyers. They meet and go over issues pertaining to the legal profession.
WISR’s Let’s Talk program with Dave Malarkey can be heard weekdays on WISR 680 AM beginning at 12:30pm.
