A local organization has chosen several area charities to receive funding through grants.
The Butler County Bar Association Foundation presented six grants worth a total of $20,000 during their quarterly meeting last week.
The Foundation made donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County, Butler County Children’s Center, Butler County Community College Adult Literacy Program, Connecting2Tomorow, Grapevine Center, and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
The Foundation has distributed more than $55,000 since beginning their charitable mission last year to help local non-profit organizations who assist people struggling with poverty, abuse, crime, and discrimination.
