Hundreds of Butler County residents will be heading to the nation’s capital this weekend for the 44th annual March For Life.
According to organizers with the Butler County Chapter of Pennsylvanians For Human Life, more than 300 people have already signed up to make the trip on Friday.
Buses and vans will be leaving from churches in Butler, Cranberry Township, Glade Mills, Herman, Meridian, Valencia and Zelienople. Although many of the vehicles are filled or close to capacity, some seats still remain while other people are planning to drive themselves.
The theme of the march this year is ‘The Power of One’ referencing the impact that one person can have to change the world. Following the march, the Butler County delegation is scheduled to meet with U.S. Congressman Mike Kelly of Butler to discuss protection of life legislation.
