The annual Memorial Day Parade in downtown Butler will be happening again this year.
The parade will start about 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Penn and Main streets in downtown Butler and march towards Diamond Park, where a program will follow. The park is directly across from the Butler County Courthouse.
Butler County Veterans Services Director John Cyprian says there will be a gun salute during the program.
“There will be a rifle salute at the Diamond. We will make an announcement before the salute so if it is an issue for anybody, they will have notice and can step away,” Cyprian said.
There will be road closures around the parade route. Residents are encouraged to make their way downtown by 10 a.m.
