Young hockey players from across the United States and Canada will arrive in Butler County for a tournament beginning Wednesday.
The United States Hockey League Fall Classic is scheduled to run through Sunday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township. The USHL is made up of 17 teams in the upper Midwest, including the Youngstown Phantoms.
Scouts from the NHL and NCAA will also be on-hand to evaluate participating players for possible recruitment. Current Pittsburgh Penguins hockey players, including Bryan Rust, Jake Guentzel and Chad Ruhwedel, have spent time playing in the USHL.
Even younger players will also be given a chance to participate in this event through a youth tournament held in conjunction with the Fall Classic.
