The Butler County commissioners have announced an internal reorganization of their office’s current staff.
The board said Wednesday Chief Clerk Scott Andrejchak is no longer employed by the County of Butler. Andrejchak was earning about $94,000 per year in his position. He started working for the county in May 2016 after working as the city manager of Sharon.
The board did not detail whether Andrejchak resigned or was terminated. In a statement, the commissioners said they have “high expectations of those in executive staff.” They went on to say the restructuring will create a long-term savings and improve budget monitoring, reporting and projections.
Andrejchak’s duties will be divided between three existing executive staff. Ann Brown, who was the fiscal operating officer for the Human Services Department, was named the County Budget and Human Services Finance Director. Human Resources Director Lori Altman has had the title of ‘Chief Clerk’ added to her title.
And county Solicitor Mike English will assume the role of Right to Know and compliance officer.
One of the main roles of the county’s chief clerk is to prepare the county’s budget each year.
“The commissioners primary goal is to guarantee taxpayers a return on investment that includes a commitment to excellence and ethics in governance, diligent financial oversight, and reporting and projections that lead to sound decision-making,” according to a statement released by the board of commissioners on Wednesday.
