The Butler County commissioners publicly recognized the success of Butler County Community College at its monthly meeting this week.
Commissioners Leslie Osche, Kim Geyer and Kevin Boozel presented BC3 President Dr. Nick Neupauer with a proclamation recognizing the school’s back-to-back rankings as the top community college in the state by Schools.com.
Two of the commissioners have personal ties to the school as both Geyer and Boozel are BC3 graduates. They thanked Neupauer for what’s he’s done in his time as president.
Neupauer’s 11-year presidency at a single institution exceeds that of any current leader among Pennsylvania’s 13 other community colleges, its 14 State System of Higher Education institutions and its four state-related schools.
The county has long supported the school and is scheduled to allocate $5.1 million to the institution in 2018.
