Butler County Commissioner Kevin Boozel has announced his bid for re-election next year.
Boozel is currently serving his first-term as one of three county commissioners. In a statement, he says he is a “proven leader that gets things done” and that he has remained “extremely responsive and accessible to all residents.”
He went on to say he believes he has helped “build a better Butler,” but, that there is still more to do.
Boozel is a democrat. Next year’s primary election will be in May and the general election in November.
“Together we have “Built a Better Butler” that is stronger, more resilient, financially sound and competitive amongst all counties. Kevin is proud to have worked collaboratively with the team to obtain more than $25 million dollars that is being infused directly into the county infrastructure and will continue to benefit all residents for decades to come. Several millions have been earmarked specifically for rural portions of the county, as well as the southern freight corridor,” a press release reads. “Butler County can be proud of the positive changes, hard work, and cooperative efforts that are common amongst county, federal, state and local authorities.”
“There is still more to do. I personally ran for office to ensure that decision makers aren’t incapacitated by polarized personalities. My office has ensured that people have a voice that can be heard; thus providing residents with the best representation,” Boozel said in a statement. “We are doing government different. We have empowered our department heads to cooperatively plan, work and accomplish goals collectively. It’s not my job to get people to believe in me, but it is definitely my job to get them to believe in themselves.”
