Voters will have an opportunity to hear from candidates running in two special elections at an event planned for next month.
The Butler County Chamber of Commerce will host the debate event on Thursday, May 2 at Butler County Community College’s Succop Theater.
The public is invited and admission is free. The Butler Radio Network will broadcast the event live.
The first debate will be between Democrat Sam Doctor and Republican Marci Mustello, who are running to replace State Rep. Brian Ellis in the 11th district.
The other debate will see the candidates running for the state senatorial seat of Don White of the 41st district, who resigned in February.

The May debate will also include an opportunity to meet the candidates running for a seat on the Butler County Court of Common Pleas.
There are now four candidates in the running- Matthew Fischer, Jennifer Gilliland-Vanasdale, William Robinson and Nicole Thurner.
At one point in the race there were six candidates, but attorney Tom Breth dropped out earlier this year and Assistant District Attorney Terri Schultz did not file her paperwork in time, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State.
The primary election will be on Tuesday, May 21.
