Butler City Council has agreed to take out a loan to purchase vehicles and pave streets later this year.
At last week’s meeting, Council approved a motion to accept a proposal for a general obligation loan from NexTier Bank in the amount of nearly $410,000 with an interest rate of 3.22% per annum.
This money will be used to purchase a police vehicle, a parks department truck, repair the streets department garage, and pave unspecified streets.
This loan is payable over a term of two years with half due at the end of this year and the rest due at the end of 2023.
