Firefighters battled a house fire early Friday in the City of Butler.
Crews were called at 12:15 a.m. to a home in the 400 block of Zeigler Avenue, according to the Butler County 911 Center. The home was broken up into four apartments.
A Butler City firefighter said someone was apparently smoking in one of the downstairs apartments and then went upstairs to watch a movie. Shortly after, someone came downstairs and found smoke and fire.
No one living inside the house was hurt, official said. One Butler City fireman was taken to the hospital with a leg injury but he is expected to be OK.
Of the four apartments, firefighters say two of them are no longer livable. The Red Cross is assisting the families.
Firefighters were on scene for about two hours. City firefighters say there will not be an investigation.
