Butler City Council does not anticipate the need to raise taxes in order to achieve a balanced budget for next year.
Property taxes are expected to remain at 43.25 mills in 2019 in order to fund a budget that is just over $9 million.
The parking revenue numbers in this budget do include a rate increase for permits; however, council would need to take separate action apart from passing the budget in order to raise those rates.
Council will vote on the preliminary budget during a meeting on Thursday before the public has a chance to look over the details for a month. A final vote by council is expected to be taken sometime in December.
