Butler City Council has decided to continue with the next step in a historic restoration project at the Butler City Building.
At their meeting Tuesday night, Council unanimously approved awarding just over $77,000 to the Butler-based Marra Brothers Contacting for exterior painting and trim work.
This bid was the only one received for the work. This project will include replacing four windows and repairing the rest as well as repairing, replacing, and painting trim work. The money to pay for this work will come from the city’s Capital budget approved as part of the city’s yearly budget.
This project is expected to get underway within the next month and take about five to six weeks to complete.
