The Butler Boys’ volleyball team fell in the PIAA state quarterfinals on Saturday against conference foe North Allegheny.
The Tigers swept the Golden Tornado (who finish the season with an 18-5 overall record) in three sets to move onto the state semifinals. Saturday’s contest was the fourth time the two schools met this season. North Allegheny, who will play Central York in the semifinals on Thursday, won all four meetings this year. Congratulations to the Golden Tornado on a great season!
The Mars Boys’ Lacrosse team will move onto the state semifinals after they beat Palmyra on Saturday by a final of 13-6.
The Planets will play Strath Haven in the semifinals on Tuesday.
