Butler high school bowler Ashley McCue finished fifth overall at the Pennsylvania State High School Singles Championships Friday. McCue, who won the Western Regional Singles championship last weekend, qualified fifth overall, then lost in the opening match of the step-ladder championship to Amanda Balas of Penn Trafford. Alexis Neuer of Lewisburg 
was the overall champion.
Nick Huff of Butler finished 15th in the boys singles. Hali Hartley of Mars and Shawn Marcellus of Butler were 23rd in their respective divisions.Brian Kennedy of Philadelphia Central Catholic won the boys title.
The Butler boys and girls bowlers compete in the State Team championships today at North Versailles Bowl.
