The Butler BlueSox’ losing streak climbs to four games after they fell to the first place Jamestown Jammers Saturday night by a final of 6-1.
Saturday’s fireworks night was delayed for nearly an hour and a half due to rain. However, many BlueSox faithful made it out to the park to watch the action.
While the Sox’ offense struggled during much of the game, a definite highlight was Butler starting pitcher Jon LaPiana. The 6 foot 4 inch left handed pitcher threw six innings and struck out an impressive ten Jammers’ batters. The BlueSox bullpen added on three more strikeouts to that strikeout total.
The two teams will meet again tonight at Kelly Automotive Park. First pitch will be at 6:35pm.
